The festival and county fair season is upon us and I encourage you and your family to take advantage of the many opportunities (like the Cork & Pork Festival) to spend quality time together and help support our agriculture and local businesses and communities.

The governor signed the ‘school bus safety’ legislation into law this month to double the fines on those who violate the ‘no passing’ law when school buses are picking up or dropping off children. (more info here)
One of the pieces of legislation signed into law that I oppose is the limit put on how much trade-in credit you can take when buying a new car, truck, mini-van or SUV. (learn more here)
With the spring legislative session over for the summer, the “Veto Session” will be our next opportunity to address legislation at the end of October and beginning of November. (Calendar here)
