State Rep. Darren Bailey (R-Xenia) attended the annual “Cork & Pork Festival” held the second Saturday in July at Picquet Park in Sainte Marie. In addition to pork nachos, pork burgers, and porkcicles, there was music, wine tasting, and a Jeep Run.

“My family and I love the local festivals around the area that help celebrate farm products, encourage visitors to visit our part of the state, and help support local groups and organizations,” said Rep. Darren Bailey. “I encourage everyone to visit the festivals, county fairs, and many beautiful locations for fishing, hiking, biking, and historical sites around Illinois. You can start by searching for activities online at EnjoyIllinois.com. This weekend is the Southern Illinois Made Expo in Marion that promotes local products, local businesses, and local jobs with proceeds benefiting the Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois,” added Rep. Bailey.
